SETH O. BERRY
Funeral services for Seth O. Berry, 81, a well-known resident of Dunklin County, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Poole Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Homer Lemonds officiated. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery here, under the direction of Landess funeral service of Campbell.

Mr. Berry had been in ill health the past few years, taking suddenly ill Saturday morning and was admitted to the Dunklin County Memorial Hospital. He died Sunday afternoon.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, C. L. Williams, Scotty Williams, Doyle Williams, Jimmy Williams, Billy Berry and Merrell Berry.

Seth O. Berry was born at Matoon, Ill., Aug. 15, 1877. He was married to Miss Ida Cosey 53 years ago. Mr. Berry was a retired farmer and had been a resident of Dunklin County for 71 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Berry; three sons, Alvin Berry of Kennett, Ed Berry and Ernest Berry of Qulin; four daughters, Mrs. Nathan Hawkins and Mrs. Altha Masters of Kennett, Mrs. Thelma Bess of Poplar Bluff and Mrs. Coy Ponder of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Lon Berry of Kennett; 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Two daughters, Mrs. Luther Smith and Mrs. Charles Williams preceded him in death.
