Compiler (notes, speculation, questions, reminders, conclusions of ceb2 regarding this specific event or fact--and not a 'source' for the fact that it is attached to.), 7 Aug 2012: deeds and tax records located at FHL indicate that R.C. Greenhaw is Richard Calvin Greenhaw. I. Surety: 2. n 1881 Independence Co., AR., tax list, there is a tax entry for Calvin Greenhaw and Thomas Greenhaw, but none for R. C. Greenhaw. In other tax years the tax list had R. C. Greenhaw and Thomas Greenhaw.
Deeds include records for Richard C. Greenhaw. One 1879 deed is Richard C. Greenhaw and Thomas Greenhaw using their future crop as collateral for a mortgage granted to a Jackson Co., AR., merchant, Elbert L. Watson. Since Richard and Thomas married daughters of Hiram Bice, and they are involved in farming together, it appears Thomas and Richard are related, and probably brothers.
