The "Births" page of the Rogers bible has an entry for Prentice Franklin (no last name) recorded between John and Nancy Clements' daughter, Susan Emeline Clements, and grandson, William Robert Dooley, son of Tabitha Viena (Clements) Dooley.
Subsequent research shows him in John Clements' household in the 1870 census. He is the son of Nancy Mullins Clements' sister, Esther. She married Doctor F. Johnson and apparently died before the 1870 census. No trace of Esther Johnson has been found afterwards and no indication of any other children. Apparently Doctor left Prentiss to be raised by his sister-in-law 2

Prentiss married Mary E. McQuown on 3 Aug 1884 in Sullivan County, MO.1 2 (Mary E. McQuown was born in 1867,2 10 died in 1892 in Sullivan County (Probably), MO 2 4 and was buried in Schrock Cemetery, 3 Miles South Of Reger, MO 2 10.)
Prentiss next married Hannah Elizabeth Cooper on 12 May 1912 in Sullivan County, MO.2 3 (Hannah Elizabeth Cooper was born on 6 Feb 1864 in Reger, MO 2 3 and died in Oct 1941 in Sullivan County, MO 2.)
