• Will, 1 Sep 1887, , Henry, Kentucky, USA. 2 Will of Edwin G. Berry Henry Co., KY, Will Book 16, page 124 I Edwin G. Berry being in feeble health but of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and testament: To wit --I will to all my children and legal heirs namely William R. Berry, James S. Berry's heirs, Stephen D. Berry, Louis G. Berry's heirs, Ruth E. Drane, Martha A. Powers, Joel H. Berry, Jennie Williams, M. Kate Eaton, Hallie E. Eddings, Edwin T. Berry, Cinderella Clore all the right and title invested in me to do with as they think best with the lands upon which I now reside lying in the County of Henry and State of Kentucky on the waters of the Little Kentucky known as the Thomas Moore tract of land containing about 116 1/3 acres. Also the Chastiner tract lying on the west of and adjoining the other named tract containing about 35 acres making in all about 150 acres more or less. 2nd I reserve for my own use and benefit as long as I may live all the rest of my lands lying west of Smithfield and Pendleton pike and north of the Smithfield and New Castle pike also that portion lying east of Smithfield and Pendleton pike and adjoining the Bruner farm -- The above reserved lands at my death to be equally divided among my above mentioned heirs. 3rd I give immediate possession of the first mentioned lands (not held in the reserve) and all my personal effects not reserved for my own use, and do appoint Stephen T. Drane and James W. Clore to dispose according to my device -- This the first day of Sept. 1887. Attest: EB Moore Seal E. G. Berry ED Grubb. In addition to the foregoing will I do hereby make and ordain the following as my codicil to said will and as expressing my further desires in reference to my estate as follows to wit: I give to my daughter Ann Powers for and in consideration of her attention to me the following property: the cooking stove & utensils thereunto belonging and two tables all in the kitchen -- one cupboard which has been in the family for many years and all the common chairs in the house she now occupies except the parler chairs, also the dining room table, the sugar chest, the heating stove in her living room in her house in Smithfield Ky in which are all the named articles. I also give her one half of the pork now in the smoke house on her said premises for her sole use and benefit also the Sausage mill one axe one hatchet and one hand saw. I also appoint the aforesaid Stephen T. Drane and James W. Clore to act as my executors without security. Witness my hand this first day of Febry one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight.
