Probate: will William Berry, 5 Aug 1853, , Boone, Missouri, USA. 3
Evans and Thompson, Wills and Administrations of Boone Co., MO, p. 31:
BERRY, WILLIAM T. - No. 680 - Will. Lewis G. Berry, Admr. Gr. June 20, 1846. F.S. Aug. 5, 1853. Wife Rhoda Berry, s. Davis [sic] C., d. Ellen McGuire Jones, gr. ch. John M. Little, Eliza Julian Little, Mary Ellen Little, heirs of Hiram W. Little, and Ella McGuire Jones. Wit. Jan. 20, 1844, Durrett Hubbard, Alan White & Jacob Johnston.
NOTE: The date at which the probate was granted, as abstracted by Evans and Thompson, apparently belongs to the other William T. Berry in Boone Co. at this time.
"According to Karen Myers, the William BERRY who married Rhoda was not William Templeton Berry, as some have come to believe. William Templeton BERRY died in 1846, while the William BERRY married to Rhoda was still alive in 1850 when the Missouri census was taken. The probate papers for both men are mixed up in Missouri so one has to be careful when going through them" (Porter 1994, 202). Porter indicated that she received information from Norma Ranz Nyberg, Columbia, MO, and Karen P. Myers, Longboat Key, FL.
